Do you have an idea or research that could drive the green transition in the agri-food sector? This is your chance to present it to key decision-makers, researchers, and industry leaders at Agri Food & Climate Circle 2025.

Whether it’s a technological innovation, a scientific discovery, a new business model, or even just a promising concept – we’re looking for solutions that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agri-food system.

Submission topics: Green Transition Ideas

1. How to catalyse a climate efficient agri-food change by 2035

We invite submissions that explore how the green transition in the agri-food sector can be accelerated. This includes financial incentives, legislation, commercial initiatives, and initiatives promoting sustainable practices at the individual and community level 

2. Breaking down barriers through actionable strategies

We welcome initiatives and solutions that facilitate data sharing, documentation, the use of AI and collaboration within the climate initiatives value chain. This includes projects that enhance cooperation across the value chain and bridge the gap between research, businesses, and policy through effective collaboration. 

3. Can we unlock the potentials of carbon as a resource?

We encourage submissions of innovative green technologies and research projects that leverage carbon as a resource to unlock new business opportunities. This can include concepts such as large-scale carbon farming, capturing biogenic CO2, enhancing biogas production, and bio-solutions that address industry challenges. Ideas for biomass utilisation beyond agriculture are also highly encouraged: recycling, up-cycling and designing products to increase biomass longevity. 

3. Releasing the potentials of next-gen climate mitigating technologies

This topic focuses on cutting-edge research and emerging technologies aimed at climate mitigation including AI, precision agriculture, next generation of sensor data solutions. We also invite submissions related to innovative technologies to lower the climate impact from livestock and crop production.  

4. How to scale from local success to global impact or vice versa

We seek business strategies, agricultural practices, and collaborative initiatives that can elevate local green transition ideas to achieve global impact. Share your insights on how local successes can inspire broader change. 

Green Transition Ideas guidelines

  • Submit your green transition idea as a brief concept with illustrations, tables, photos, etc. 
  • The maximum word count for the description should be 400 words. 
  • The idea must be presented in English and information on title, authors, and affiliation must be given at the top.  
  • Ideas must be submitted in word or pdf form without any secured passwords. 
  • Ideas can have multiple authors out of which one should be the corresponding author. 
  • Submitting author will receive all correspondence about the idea submitted to us. 
  • The received ideas undergo review process by our review team. 
  • Acceptance of green transition ideas will be informed to corresponding author through email and the author will be invited to present a poster at the conference (see poster guidelines below). 

Poster presentation guidelines

  • The recommended poster size 0,9 m wide by 1,3 m high (A0). Please ensure that the size is not exceeded. 
  • It must include the idea title, author and co-author names, and the institution(s), along with email address, and phone number. 
  • The title, contents, text and the author’s information should be clearly visible.  
  • Posters do not need to be academic in the traditional way and we encourage you to include photos and illustrations. 
  • Use high-resolution photographs, charts and graphs to illustrate your message more clearly.
