Green Transition Ideas

At the conference you will have the chance to present and discuss your green transition idea with experts within the field, who have the influence and resources to drive change. We are looking for fresh thinking to tackle current climate challenges.

Share your ideas and research for the green transition in the agri-food sector

At Agri Food & Climate Circle 2025 we are shaping the future, striving for net-zero emissions, and we need your help to complete the journey.

A green transition idea can range from technical innovations and scientific findings to new business models and incentive schemes. Even a partial solution or simply just a “good idea” is welcome if it effectively addresses the greenhouse gas challenge in the agri-food sector.

The three best green transition ideas will be honored with an award at the conference.

The top green transition ideas will also be selected for a short pitch during the breakout sessions in
topic 4: Releasing the potentials of next-gen climate mitigating technologies.

All accepted ideas will be presented by the authors during the breaks. They will be scheduled and facilitated according to a timetable.

We welcome all contributions!

Submission deadline is Wednesday, 9 April 2025.

Submission topics: Green Transition Ideas

1. How to catalyse a climate efficient agri-food change by 2035

We invite submissions that explore how the green transition in the agri-food sector can be accelerated. This includes financial incentives, legislation, commercial initiatives, and initiatives promoting sustainable practices at the individual and community level

2. Breaking down barriers through actionable strategies

We welcome initiatives and solutions that facilitate data sharing, documentation, the use of AI and collaboration within the climate initiatives value chain. This includes projects that enhance cooperation across the value chain and bridge the gap between research, businesses, and policy through effective collaboration.

3. Can we unlock the potentials of carbon as a resource?

We encourage submissions of innovative green technologies and research projects that leverage carbon as a resource to unlock new business opportunities. This can include concepts such as large-scale carbon farming, capturing biogenic CO2, enhancing biogas production, and bio-solutions that address industry challenges. Ideas for biomass utilisation beyond agriculture are also highly encouraged: recycling, up-cycling and designing products to increase biomass longevity.

3. How to scale from local success to global impact or vice versa

We seek business strategies, agricultural practices, and collaborative initiatives that can elevate local green transition ideas to achieve global impact. Share your insights on how local successes can inspire broader change.

4. Releasing the potentials of next-gen climate mitigating technologies

This topic focuses on cutting-edge research and emerging technologies aimed at climate mitigation including AI, precision agriculture, next generation of sensor data solutions. We also invite submissions related to innovative technologies to lower the climate impact from livestock and crop production.
