TOPIC 1

HOW TO CATALYSE A CLIMATE EFFICIENT AGRI-FOOD CHANGE BY 2035

The green transition in the agri-food sector can be driven by different factors – financial incentives and legislation being some of the strongest drivers. But also, commercial initiatives as SBTi and consumer preferences are parts of driving and accelerating the transition. What can we learn from initiatives already taken, how do we make sure that farmers and companies take new measures into use, and do we have the necessary framework?

TOPIC 2

BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS THROUGH ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES

By fostering collaboration between industry leaders, academic experts, and regulatory bodies, we can identify and dismantle the barriers to sustainable progress. Development and implementation of sustainable solutions in the value chain, though well-known, often come with significant investments and added costs of production. Who should bear the additional expenses? The farmers, the food processors or the consumers? This topic aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering actionable insights and strategies for overcoming obstacles.

TOPIC 3

CAN WE UNLOCK THE POTENTIALS OF CARBON AS A RESOURCE?

Join us as we explore how science and new technologies can unlock business potentials by utilising carbon as a resource. This session will feature expert insights followed by engaging discussions in breakout rooms, where participants can share perspectives on the implications of these innovations. Together, we will tackle the challenges and opportunities in advancing carbon management, biogas production, and bio solutions for a sustainable future.

 Key topics for discussion

  • Carbon farming: A key to climate goals
  • Capturing biogenic CO2: Demand and innovations in carbon management
  • Potential of biogas: Innovations and challenges in Europe
  • The role of bio solutions in overcoming industry hurdles
  • Exploring the impact of biomass beyond agriculture: Opportunities and dilemmas

TOPIC 3

HOW TO SCALE FROM LOCAL SUCCESS TO GLOBAL IMPACT OR VICE VERSA

This session will explore how local initiatives in science, on farms and in business value chains can pave way to make a global impact. We will also discuss strategies for translating a global strategy to local projects creating impact and effect towards a common goal.

TOPIC 4

RELEASING THE POTENTIALS OF NEXT-GEN CLIMATE MITIGATING TECHNOLOGIES

Join us in this session with breakout rooms to explore cutting-edge research and emerging technologies aimed at climate mitigation. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their best green ideas, fostering dialogue on implementation challenges and regulatory considerations. Together, we will discuss the potential risks and rewards of these innovations, inspiring collaboration to drive real-world impact to reduce the climate impact from agriculture production and subsequent the food value chain.

 Key topics for discussion

  • Climate concepts: How to save the planet with agriculture
  • Shit happens: A deep dive into manure and slurry handling
  • Nitrous oxide: The gas we didn’t invite to the party
  • Cattle and climate: How to keep the burps in check
