Lisbeth Henricksen has since 2019 been Director of Innovation at SEGES Innovation, where she works with all her colleagues on developing and innovating new knowledge, tools and products to farmers within all aspects of agriculture. Prior to her current role Lisbeth was responsible for the pig innovation area in SEGES Innovation as Specialized Senior Manager as well as Manager of the pig nutrition and feed team. Originally graduated with a MSc in Agriculture from University of Copenhagen, Lisbeth has gained experience in research at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, which subsequently led to her spending nearly a decade in England. During this time Lisbeth continued on to a role as a pig industry Knowledge Transfer Manager for the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board. After returning to Denmark in 2013 Lisbeth held a position as Head of Department for Livestock, Environment and Law in the Danish farming advisory company Patriotisk Selskab until joining SEGES Innovation in 2015.
CEO Food Nation
Lise Walbom is a leading figure in the food and agriculture sector, with more than 25 years of experience in sustainable development within national and global food systems across both the private and public sector. As CEO of the Danish public-private partnership Food Nation, Walbom creates awareness to the strongholds of the Danish agriculture and food cluster for competitive advantages in export markets. Previously, she held leadership roles at Danish Industry, on various projects that focused on business development and productivity, food innovation, and international partnerships. Key achievements include leading projects on enhancing healthy meal programs in Danish schools and developing exports of Danish organic products under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries.
Walbom holds an MSc in Agricultural Science from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University and a diploma in management focused on strategy development and coaching, she has effectively combined technical expertise in farming and food systems with leadership in national and global issues.
Executive Director, UCLA Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies
Jack Bobo is the Executive Director of the UCLA Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies. Previously, he led the Food Systems Institute at the University of Nottingham. Jack’s extensive experience spans roles as the Director of Global Food and Water Policy at The Nature Conservancy, CEO of Futurity, a food foresight company, and as a senior advisor on global food policy at the U.S. Department of State. Jack is the author of Why Smart People Make Bad Food Choices, a book that unpacks how our food environment has fueled the global obesity crisis and highlights the role of behavioral science in tackling food policy challenges. Known for his expertise in global food systems, Jack has delivered over 500 keynote speeches across 50 countries, inspiring audiences on topics like food security and agricultural innovation. Jack holds a J.D., an M.S. in Environmental Science, a B.S. in Biology, and a B.A. in Psychology and Chemistry, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to reshaping food policy and sustainability.
Mission Director, AgriFoodTure
Anette Engelund Friis has since December 2022 led the AgriFoodTure partnership as its Mission Director. For more than 15 years, she has been working on finding solutions to the climate challenge, through collaboration with partners and engaging stakeholders across the value chain, including government entities and civil society. Prior to this role, Anette was Senior Operations Officer for the World Bank’s Climate Funds Management Unit for three years, and Head of Partnerships and Outreach for the CGIAR research program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security for four years. She has also worked for the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, the World Farmers Organisation, and the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
Business Development Manager, Yara Denmark
Søren Fredslund is a Business Development Manager at Yara Denmark, focusing on introducing low emmission fertilizer to the Danish market through strategic partnerships. He also leads sustainability projects with key Food Chain Partners in Denmark and coordinates similar initiatives across the Nordics.
He has over 10 years of commercial experience in sales and business development, particularly in the agriculture, feed, and environmental industries. With a holistic mindset and leadership experience from the Royal Danish Air Force, his own consultancy, and five years of teaching economics and sales, Søren combines strategic insight with practical expertise. He holds a Diploma in Vocational Pedagogy and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (HD-A).
Wageningen University & Research
Dr. Martin C. Th. Scholten is principal advisor for Wageningen University & Research, liaison for European affairs and networks and for the Dutch Regions. He was the General Director of Animal Sciences at Wageningen University & Research in the period 2008-2020. Martin Scholten is also consulting advisor for Aarhus University, Faculty of Technical Sciences, and a strategic advisor at Imagro, a communication consultancy in the domain of agrifood and living environment. He is a valued advisor to the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality. As an ecologist by background and now active in the field of agro-sciences, he introduced the principles of “Feeding the World within the Carrying Capacity of Planet Earth”, “Livestock Farming with Care”, “Fishing with Care”; “A circular food production in a biobased society”, “Disruptive Technologies in responsible innovation in Agribusiness”, “Greening the Blue Growth” and “Zoonotic Emergency Preparedness & Intervention”.
Director for Climate & Sustainability, SEGES Innovation
Since 2023, Peter Langborg Wejse has served as the Director for Climate & Sustainability. In this role, he engages in extensive cross-functional collaboration on climate mitigation and sustainability, integrating research and development in both livestock and plant production, and analyzing the sector’s economic framework. Before this, Peter held various R&D positions at Arla Foods and Arla Foods Ingredients, focusing on accelerating the application of academic research to practical uses in the food industry and agriculture. His efforts have led to the establishment of strategic research collaborations, ensuring that real-world problems are addressed through cutting-edge research methods, while balancing the diverse interests of public-private partnerships. Peter’s educational foundation includes a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Aarhus University.
Professor, Aarhus University
Jørgen E. Olesen is professor in climate and agriculture at Aarhus University and head of Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University. His research encompasses experimental and modelling studies on agricultural carbon and nitrogen cycles and local to global scales. He is recognised as a world-leading expert on climate change impacts on agriculture and on greenhouse gases from agriculture and how they may be mitigated. He has contributed as a lead author to the IPCC WG2 and to several governmental commissions and councils, including the Commission on Climate Change Policy and the Ethical Council. He is awarded highly cited researcher by Clarivate.
