Gerben Boom is the Vice Chair and board member international affairs at the Dutch Young Farmers’ Association (NAJK), where he advocates for the voice of young farmers in shaping European agricultural policies. Alongside his advisory work on future-proof agriculture and sustainable transitions in the agri-food sector, Gerben is actively involved in arable farming and co-runs a small-scale farm at home. With a strong background in agriculture, policy, and rural innovation, his work bridges practical farming realities and systemic change, aiming to empower a new generation of resilient, future oriented farmers.
