As Head of the Department for Arable Farming and Renewable Resources at the German Farmers’ Association, Johann Meierhöfer has represented the interests of the profession at German and European level since 2021. He is particularly committed to incorporating the perspective of agricultural practice more strongly into political decision-making processes and securing sustainable future opportunities for German and European agriculture. His in-depth expertise is rooted in his agricultural science studies at Humboldt University Berlin and has been consolidated through a variety of management positions – from the management of agricultural companies to the management of an agricultural office. At the same time, he has been enriching the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences with his practical knowledge as a lecturer since 2014.
